Biography:
Ye Tian is now an associate professor in Anhui University. His interests include evolutionary computation and deep learning. He has published more than 50 papers on more than ten IEEE Trans with more than 10000 citations. He is a Highly Cited Researcher of Clarivate in 2023 and 2024, and a Most Cited Chinese Researcher of Elsevier in 2023. He is the recipient of the 2018, 2021, and 2024 IEEE TEVC Outstanding Paper Awards, the 2020 IEEE CIM Outstanding Paper Award, the 2022 IEEE CIS Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award, and the 2024 IEEE TEVC Outstanding Associate Editor.

Title: Automated Algorithm Design with Large Language Models

Biography:
Zhichao Lu is currently an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science at City University of Hong Kong. He received Ph.D degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University in 2020, where he studied bilevel optimization, evolutionary multiobjective optimization, and neural architecture search. In the broad context of AI, his current research focuses on the intersections of evolutionary computation, learning, and optimization, notably on developing efficient and automated ML/DL algorithms and systems, with the overarching goal of making AI accessible to everyone.
